*Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker* (2019) concludes the Skywalker saga. The Resistance is in a desperate battle against the First Order, led by Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Rey (Daisy Ridley) has become a powerful Jedi but struggles with her identity and her connection to the Force. The discovery of Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), believed dead, alive on the Sith homeworld of Exegol, sets the stage for the final conflict. Palpatine reveals that Rey is his granddaughter, designed to take his place and lead the Sith. With the help of her friends, including Finn (John Boyega), Poe (Oscar Isaac), and the spirits of past Jedi, Rey confronts Palpatine in an epic battle. Kylo Ren is redeemed, becoming Ben Solo, and helps Rey defeat Palpatine, sacrificing himself in the process. The film ends with Rey adopting the Skywalker name, signifying her choice to embrace the light and the legacy of the Jedi.
