*Slither* (2006) is a horror-comedy film directed by James Gunn. The story follows a small town in South Carolina that becomes overrun by an alien parasite. The parasite infects people and animals, turning them into grotesque, mind-controlled creatures. The main antagonist, Grant Grant, is a local businessman who becomes infected after encountering the alien organism. His transformation into a monstrous entity puts the town in peril, and a group of survivors, including Sheriff Bill Pardy and local doctor Starla Grant, must find a way to stop the infestation.
