“Alien: Romulus” (2024) is a science fiction horror film directed by Fede Álvarez, set between the events of “Alien” (1979) and “Aliens” (1986). The story follows Rain Carradine, portrayed by Cailee Spaeny, and her companions—young colonists working for Weyland-Yutani—as they attempt to escape their oppressive mining colony. They discover the derelict space station Renaissance, where a deadly xenomorph, previously encountered by Ellen Ripley, has been dormant. As they attempt to use the station’s stasis pods for their escape, they inadvertently release the alien, leading to a deadly confrontation
